We ask our community which Scotch distilleries they would choose as their favourites.
Voting for just one is hard. So what if you could choose ten? This Top 40 is produced by those votes.
It is a real-time, live poll. You can keep your votes up to date, changing your mind is welcomed, anytime.
This is the most recent snapshot. We’ll take the next at 1,000 new votes or submission updates.
Data compiled with the support of Dramface member Awderty.
The latest data was collected in a snapshot on 30th September 2026 from 1,340 respondents.
The bracketed data was collected on September 30th 2025 from 1,036 respondents, May 6th, 2024 from 1,511 respondents, February 2024 from 1,050 respondents. Initial data was harvested in March of 2023 for an Aqvavitae vPub topic; 707 respondents replied. We will continue to take new snapshot tracking a ‘moving‘ most-recent ~1,000 respondents.

The King of Campbeltown holds firm, still with 100+ votes over second spot. But each time we see the margin slip as competition heats up, and negative feedback on price-creep continues. Still, comfortably untouchable. For now.

For the first time in this project’s history, Ardnamurchan holds its position - and vote share. Integrity, personality, variety and reliability remain its strengths. And it’s only twelve years old.

Recent moves has seen Islay’s favourite consolidate its position with only a tiny margin slip. Prices on its more premium products remain a barrier, but generally, it’s killing it.

Comfortably holding onto its spot and consolidating its percentage of the vote, the Wee Toon’s newest distillery is loved and deserving of such a lofty position, despite its youth.

A huge six percent drop in vote share is a warning sign to CVH’s highest place distillery, but for now it holds firm.

Like Bunnahabhain just a spot ahead, Arran’s Lochranza has also lost a chunk of vote share. Core releases are strong, while premium products remain a bone of contention.

The only distillery in the Top 10 to actually increase its vote share in this latest snapshot. The realignment of the core range and moves towards more natural releases cannot be a coincidence.

Despite a slight dip in vote share, Kilchoman’s recent releases prove popular enough to elevate it ahead of Benromach to steal 8th spot. Quality continues to climb. We’re loving Islay’s farm distillery.

The recent switch to more natural presentation perhaps landed a beat too late to prevent Speyside’s favourite from losing a spot. There’s not much in it though, and it’s on the charge.
