Living Souls Launches Four New Whiskies
Living Souls Spring 2025 Releases
Living Souls Launches Four New Whiskies, Including Stellar 40YO Blend.
Living Souls, the Scottish spirits brand known for its small batch releases, has announced the launch of its latest collection of whiskies. Showcasing the breadth of the independent bottler’s craftsmanship, its sophomore release includes a bold peated experiment and an ultra-rare 40-year-old blend.
The eclectic range, which follows last November’s Batch #1, has been crafted to highlight distinctive flavour profiles and cement Living Souls’ reputation for curating conversation-sparking drams. The new releases include:
Ninety-Nine & One (46.3% ABV): A vibrant NAS Scotch born from a happy accident at the distillery, blending a heavily peated island malt with a touch of grain, bottled just as it was discovered. RRP £58.50.
10-Year-Old Balblair (46.0% ABV): A Highland single malt finished in Limousin oak XO octaves, striking a delicate balance of creamy vanilla and warm spice. RRP £55.
25-Year-Old Dumbarton (50.5% ABV): A rare single grain from the closed Dumbarton distillery, brimming with nostalgic notes of pick ‘n’ mix sweets, creamy coconut and soft vanilla. RRP £82.
40-Year-Old Blended Scotch (45.1% ABV): An exceptionally rare blend of 40% malt (including Glenfarclas, Fettercairn, and Glen Garioch) and 60% grain, mostly from the closed Cambus distillery, drawn from ex-Islay sherry butts with dialled-up tropical fruit notes and a whisper of smoke. RRP £125.
“This batch is where we really start to show the range of what Living Souls can offer,” said co-founder Calum Leslie. “From a happy accident that turned into a bold, peated experiment, to an ultra-rare 40-year-old blend drawn from closed distilleries, each whisky is bottled with intention, created to express something distinctive and memorable.”
“With this new batch, we’ve expanded the spectrum from vibrant and youthful to complex and aged, while holding true to our principle of bottling only the most distinctive spirit,” added co-founder Jamie Williamson. “There’s personality in every drop, and I think that’s what makes these releases so compelling.”
Living Souls’ new whiskies will be available from specialist retailers throughout the United Kingdom, Germany, and the Netherlands, with enthusiasts invited to explore the memorable lineup. A complete list of stockists is available at www.whiskysouls.com.
