The Scotch Whisky Experience Unveils Indulgent New Chocolate Pairing Tour and Welcomes Rugby Legends This Spring
This spring, The Scotch Whisky Experience offers visitors even more reasons to raise a dram. From indulgent whisky and chocolate pairing tours to an opportunity to meet rugby legends, here are three standout experiences to add to any Edinburgh itinerary.
Running daily at 6:30 till July, the Gold Chocolate & Whisky Tour offers an indulgent twist on the classic Gold Tour. Each month, the expert team selects a series of standout drams united by a unique theme, bringing fresh stories and flavour profiles to every visit.
Following the tour, guests take a seat in the McIntyre Gallery Bar, where guides share the craftsmanship and character behind each whisky. One of the drams is thoughtfully paired with a dark chocolate from Edinburgh chocolatier Quirky Chocolate, creating a memorable harmony of flavour.
This immersive evening experience celebrates the art of whisky and chocolate pairing and is available to book as the 18:30 Gold Tour.
For one day only, tour ticket holders who have booked the Silver or Gold tours are in with the chance to meet some rugby legends. Premium Speyside single malt Scotch whisky brand Hirundine will host a special in shop sampling at The Scotch Whisky Experience, giving guests the opportunity to meet Stuart McInally (former Scotland Captain), Mathieu Bastareaud (former French international) and Hamish Watson, (Scotland and British & Irish Lions).

The Gold Tour: All year round
Alongside seasonal events and new experiences, The Scotch Whisky Experience continues to offer its flagship Gold Tour year round. This immersive journey guides guests through the heritage, mystery and craft of Scotch whisky, the tour ends with a guided tasting of four carefully selected drams.
With the support of expert guides and detailed tasting notes, guests explore and compare Scotland’s whisky regions. Each guest also receives one year membership to The Scotch Whisky Experience’s Scotch Whisky Appreciation Society, extending the experience beyond the visit and encouraging continued discovery long after the tour concludes.
