The Scottish National Whisky Festival in Glasgow - January 24th
The Scottish National Whisky Festival will return to Glasgow next week during Burns weekend celebrations as part of this year’s Celtic Connections. The festival, which runs annual events all over Scotland, will take place across multiple spaces within popular city events hub SWG3 on Saturday 24 January, marking a welcome return for the festival’s flagship edition.
This year’s bumper Glasgow edition will give festival-goers the opportunity to sample hundreds of incredible whiskies from world-renowned distilleries & independent bottlers; explore exciting guest spirits and experimental flavours across the exhibitor line up; enjoy fantastic local food offerings and indulge in tantalising creations from world class mixologists.
Highlights for this year’s show include: Ardbeg, who will be offering a first look at something very special; Elixir Distillers, hosting a fantastic seminar on their new Elixir Trails range; Lochlea, who will offering festival goers key insights into what it's like to operate as an independent distillery today; and for the first time, the world’s oldest licensed distillery, Bushmills, will be showcasing a range of fantastic Irish Whiskeys (yes with an ‘e’!) at the festival.
The Scottish National Whisky Festival will also feature a specially-curated bill of live entertainment, including live music from celebrated Scottish performers in collaboration with Celtic Connections.
Finally, no day would be complete without a visit to the on-site whisky shop for an exceptional selection of bottles to take home - including festival exclusive bottlings - courtesy of the Scottish National Whisky Festival’s expert partner retailer Select Drams.
