The Scottish National Whisky Festival will return to Aberdeen on Saturday 12 September. The event at Aberdeen Music Hall, which has become an annual fixture in the North East, follows another big year for the festival with packed-out events in Glasgow and Inverness.
This weekend’s Aberdeen edition will once again give festival-goers the opportunity to sample hundreds of incredible whiskies and guest spirits from world-renowned distilleries & esteemed independent bottlers; from old school gems to peated powerhouses to lesser-known producers and bold new voices from across the whisky spectrum.
Renowned Aberdeen institution The Old Workshop will be in attendance running the festival Highball Bar, where attendees can exchange a token upon arrival for a highball cocktail of their choosing. In addition, Summerton Whisky Club have joined once again as the festival’s official glassware sponsor providing an exquisitely-crafted branded Glencairn glass - yours to keep at the end of the show too! - to accompany each individual tasting experience.
Finally, no day would be complete without a visit to the on-site whisky shop for an exceptional selection of bottles to take home - including festival exclusive bottlings - courtesy of the Scottish National Whisky Festival’s expert partner retailers Aberdeen Whisky Shop.
Festival Coordinator Alexander Thompson said: "We are delighted to return to the North East for our 2026 Aberdeen edition of the Scottish National Whisky Festival. We have an incredible line-up of exhibitors for you this weekend, even more than last year’s event so make sure you plan your day and give yourself plenty of time to explore. Some new appearances at the show include Compass Box, Bladnoch and the all the way from Yorkshire, Filey Bay.
