Murray McDavid unveils Cask Craft

Independent bottlers Murray McDavid have released Cask Craft, a new collection of affordable single malts to showcase different wood finishes.

The first exciting batch of Cask Craft is a collection of six single malt Scotch whiskies finished in Sherry, Port, Bourbon, Madeira, peated and wine casks, giving whisky lovers an easy and accessible guide to the Art of Maturation. Having carefully selected spirit from six different distilleries, the Murray McDavid Whisky Creations Team have enriched the flavour of these single malts by choosing the perfect cask finishes.

The collection focuses on the classic finishes along with the more unusual finishes: Sherry – fruit and spicy, Port – rich and fruity, Madeira – fruity and sweet, Bourbon – creamy and sweet, Marsala – smoky and fruity, Peated – smoke and citrus.

The direct, bold, no-nonsense information on the front label sets a clear expectation for the consumers, with guidance given to the cask finish and flavour profile. The unique back label maps out the conception behind each Cask Craftexpression and importantly, tells the story of each creation.
